Nearing its 50th year of business and renowned for its World Primate Centre status Twycross Zoo features a collection of almost 1000 animals of some 200 species, sending visitors from all corners of the country flocking to marvel at some of the most stunning and rare species found anywhere on this planet.
Some of the Zoo’s fascinating exhibits include: the South American Tropical House, a tropical experience with simulated thunder and lightning and tropical rainfall; the Borneo Longhouse, where a pathway winds through a sequence of exotic bird and animal exhibits immersed in landscaped aquatic gardens and Uda Walawe, a Sri Lankan themed elephant walkway which gives stunning, uninterrupted views of our four females Asian elephants.
Open 364 days a year from 10.00am, Twycross Zoo has established itself as a premier entertainment venue, offering much more than a great British day out. The zoo’s magnificent Himalaya Centre encompasses fantastic food, fabulous shopping, unrivalled conference and wedding facilities in Windows on the Wild and fine art in Twycross Gallery, bringing a world of fun and entertainment under one roof.
