This independently owned, award winning bar & restaurant opened in 1997 and has been a leading light in the city’s eating & drinking scene. Now considered somewhat of an institution amongst working professionals as well as ladies who lunch, it’s a venue that works well for all occasions from just drinks & snacks in the bar to more formal dining whether for business or pleasure.
The restaurant has a contemporary but classic feel with modern artworks adorning the walls and crisp white linen on the tables, the atmosphere is bright and airy for lunch but more subdued with dimmed lighting for dinner, the room has the right ambience for day or night dining.
The Food is modern British & European with an emphasis on grills, steaks & seafood and is complemented with a first class wine & champagne list that cleverly combines old world favourites with the best the new world is offering.
The bar as you would expect offers a wide range of lagers, real ales and bottled beers together with many of the wines & champagnes on the list available by the glass. Food available in the bar consists of bar plates, paninis & sandwiches during the day with bar tapas at night, all of which can be enjoyed in the comfy leather booths opposite the long bar.
